Al Waarith

Waritha is to inherit: to receive what its holder no longer holds. The root gives mīrāth, the estate itself, and the Qur’an uses it of land and of scripture as readily as of property.

The one ayah carrying this written form is not about God’s inheritance at all — it is the long ayah about mothers, nursing, and what a child is owed, where the heir is told that the same duty falls on him. Everything here is passing through somebody’s hands on its way somewhere else, including the obligations.
