Dhu Al Jalaali Wa Al Ikraam

Not one word but a phrase — the possessor of jalāl and of ikrām, majesty and generous honouring, held in one description. The two nouns come from two different roots, which is why no single root is printed above this: naming one of them would be naming half the name.

The ayat below come up empty for a reason worth saying plainly: the app’s check compares one written word at a time, and this name is four. The phrase is in the Qur’an — twice, both in Sūrat ar-Raḥmān, once of the face of your Lord that remains when everything else has gone and once closing the surah altogether. Majesty on its own would be only distance; generosity on its own would be only warmth. The name refuses to let either be read without the other.
