Reflection

Qahr is overwhelming force — a power nothing gets out from under. The same root gives al-Qāhir, which the Qur’an uses of Allah as being above His servants rather than among them.

All six ayat carrying this written form have al-Wāḥid immediately before it — the One, the Overpowering — six times without exception, across six different surahs, and each time at the very end of the ayah. Oneness and overwhelming power are never separated here. Nothing that presses on you is the final power in the room.
